Malta Permanent Residence Programme (MPRP): Your Gateway to EU Residency

The Malta Permanent Residence Programme (MPRP) stands as one of Europe’s leading residence-by-investment schemes, offering a straightforward path to permanent European residency. Administered by Residency Malta Agency, the MPRP provides long-term security, mobility, and a route to establishing a stable home in a European Union member state. Belgravia Advisory, licensed as an official agent under RES-CKCO, is authorised to prepare and submit MPRP applications on behalf of clients worldwide.

What the MPRP Offers

The MPRP grants a Permanent Residence Certificate, valid for life as long as programme obligations are met. Key benefits include:

  • Permanent residency for the applicant and their family
  • Visa-free travel across the Schengen Area
  • Right to live indefinitely in Malta
  • No minimum stay requirement
  • Access to Malta’s healthcare, education, and lifestyle.
  • Quick issuance of a Temporary Residence Permit, allowing immediate Schengen mobility while the full application is processed.

Financial Requirements of the MPRP

The programme requires a combination of administrative fees, contributions, property commitments, and proof of financial stability.

  • Administrative Fee (€60,000 total)
    €15,000 payable upon submission.
€45,000 payable within two months of Approval in Principle.
    Government Contribution (€37,000)
  • Fixed amount irrespective of property option.
  • Philanthropic Donation (€2,000)
  • To a Maltese NGO supporting local causes.
  • Dependant Fees (€7,500 each)
  • Applies to dependants aged 18+ (excluding spouse/partner).

Property Requirement

Applicants must either:

  • Purchase property valued at €375,000; or
  • Rent property at €14,000 per year.
  • Financial Assets Requirement
€500,000 total assets (min €150,000 financial assets); or
€650,000 total assets (min €75,000 financial assets).
  • A biometric residence card is issued for €100 per year and is valid for five years.

Processing Time and Due Diligence
