Travel to Malta: No quarantine required for travel to Malta from various countries.
As of 17. June 2021, passengers arriving from countries on the “Amber List” (link below) need only submit a negative COVID-19 PCR test certificate before boarding flights to Malta. No quarantine in Malta is required for these visitors. The PCR test must have been taken no longer than 72 hours prior to arrival in Malta.
As of 01. July 2021, passengers arriving from EU countries on the “Amber List” only need to show a vaccination certificate (Pfizer-BioNTech, Moderna, AstraZeneca, or Johnson & Johnson). No COVID-19 PCR test is required for these visitors.
Because the summer vacation period is near which reduces the number of available government appointments, and because new COVID variants might still emerge, we recommend starting your application now – while there is an open window of opportunity!
