Empowering Fairness: AI, Pay Transparency, and the Future of Work

Ganado Advocates was pleased to sponsor Empowering Fairness: AI, Pay Transparency, and the Future of Work, organised by FHRD and held last Friday at the Xara Lodge in Rabat.

The seminar brought together HR professionals to discuss the implications of the EU Pay Transparency Directive for Maltese employers, focusing on key legal obligations, practical challenges and the role of transparency in strengthening HR practices through clearer job design and more consistent pay structures.

The programme also included a demonstration of a guided tool designed to simplify job evaluation and pay reporting, as well as discussions on the responsible use of technology in recruitment, promotion and pay decisions. The seminar concluded with a panel discussion exploring how organisations can build fairer and more transparent workplaces.

Matthew Brincat, Partner and Lara Pace, Senior Associate at Ganado Advocates both took part in the event. Lara delivered a session which explored interpretive challenges, compliance obligations and the practical implications of the Directive for Maltese employers. While Matthew was a panelist during the session “Human Intelligence meets Artificial Intelligence: Towards a Fair and Transparent Workplace”.
